Mark Maidment uses the Japanese technique of Gyotaku - the art of fish imprinting using rice paper and ink to produce his unique artwork.
He also makes his own frames using another Japanese technique called Shou Sugi Ban, whereby the wood is burned and then prepared to accentuate the woods natural grain.
Mark creates his works under the name of Crossbones Studio.
