Valerie McCallum is a textile artist.

She has always been drawn to fabric as it is such a tactile medium to work in. She uses recycled and pre-used fabric. Often surface dyes and paints are the foundation of her creations. The stitch in her work can be both functional and decorative. She is drawn to nature and old master artists for inspiration.
