Frans De Leij is well known for his watercolour images of birds and wild life.
A biologist at heart, it is not surprising that nature provides him with constant inspiration. He paints animals, people and landscapes where he is attracted by the way light, shade and atmospheric conditions unify the objects. He likes the feeling of space and tranquility that are found in the natural world and challenges himself to transfer those emotive qualities to paper.
