Andrea Martin

Andrea Martin is an artist whose work captures the character and vitality of the natural world. Her expressive, detail driven style is drawn to wildlife and the quiet narratives found in nature, often with a touch of added humour. She works across a variety of mediums exploring their different qualities, from fine pen illustrations, linocut, gouache, acrylics and oils. In recent years Andrea has also found a love for creating in ceramics.

Achieving a BA in Illustration in 1993, she went on to work as a professional artist working on newspapers and publications, as well as designing and producing animations for websites. She has since exhibited in various venues and art trails across the South. Taking inspiration from her surroundings  in the South Downs, she can be found in her studio creating new work and undertaking commissions, or at a local pottery workshop, sharpening her skills and creating ceramic sculptures.
